The Nordic Rubis gin liqueur, full of color and flavor, is full of these little ice fruits, lingonberry. In each bottle is the passion, love and freshness of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
The inhabitants of Côte-Nord pick lingonberry, a bitter fruit closely related to cranberry cranberry, which they call ushatshiminan in Innu, or Nordic Ruby. This fruit from the North Shore territory is greatly appreciated in jelly, jam and pastries. There was only one step to making an alcoholic liqueur out of it.
Rubis Nordique is a lingonberry gin liqueur, harvested by hand in the sandy soils near the peat bogs north of the 50th parallel. Lingonberry is cooked gently with a little sugar to reduce its bitterness. This nectar is added to our infusion of dune pepper and balsam sweet, then mixed with a base of Betchwan gin. Our master distiller brings it all down to an alcoholic strength of 23%. It is finally filtered to perfection, which gives it this ruby red color, 100% natural, invigorating and limpid.
Its perfectly balanced taste, slightly bitter and not very sweet, makes it a favorite liqueur on ice or to concoct Nordic Negroni.
